Jaelee Roberts Releases Debut Single, “All My Tears”
NASHVILLE, Tenn., -- February 22, 2019 -- Multi-talented artist, Jaelee Roberts is pleased to announce the release of her debut single, “All My Tears,” on Nashville’s Euphony Records. The song has received acclaim from Bluegrass Today and Wide Open Country who calls the single, “spellbinding… with chill-inducing vocals straight from the Tennessee hills.” The track features an all-star cast of musicians including Roberts on vocals, fiddle and guitar, Brandon Bostic on harmony vocal and guitar, Deanie Richardson playing fiddle and guitar, Austin Ward on bass, and Shad Cobb on banjo.
Gorgeous fiddle work, and clawhammer banjo give new life to the song originally penned by Julie Miller, and recorded by Emmylou Harris. “Julie Miller is an amazing songwriter and vocalist,” says Roberts, “I personally think she outdid herself with the combination of lyrics and melody. It is so haunting and beautiful at the same time, and I love the powerful message of the song.”
Roberts’ take on the song has met the approval of top performing artists around the industry including award-winning vocalist, Patty Loveless who describes her vocal performance as “the core of what fires me up about music...this girl can sing!”
With deep roots in bluegrass, the 17-year-old has been singing and playing an instrument as long as she can remember. She is an active member of a number of youth organizations including the International Bluegrass Music Association’s Kids on Bluegrass program, the IBMA Youth Council, and Tomorrow’s Bluegrass Stars. In 2018 Roberts joined The Rebekah Long Band on fiddle and harmony vocals. She has shared the stage with Carl Jackson, Larry Cordle, Rhonda Vincent, The Grascals and more. She even appeared on the Grand Ole Opry, singing “Keep on the Sunny Side” with legendary country and bluegrass family band The Whites.
Roberts’ debut has received praise from a number of legendary artists including Rhonda Vincent who says, “I love it when the next generation continues a family tradition! Jaelee Roberts is a perfect example of amazing talent, formed from a musical family foundation, nurtured into a beautiful shining rising star.”
As a 2017 (Nashville, TN) and 2018 (Los Angeles, CA) vocal track participant in GRAMMY Camp, Roberts had the opportunity to spend two weeks fully immersed in music with her peers -- collaborating with songwriters, musicians, and recording engineers, and learning from industry powerhouses. Now paving her own way in the music industry, she plans to attend Middle Tennessee State University in the fall to study Music Business.
